Radio For People
Our objective is to improve the overall quality of life of our listeners by empowering them with skills and knowledge.
WRES is nestled in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. We are home to a group of dedicated journalists and civic activists committed to one goal: improving the lives of the people who tune in to our message.
We’re a small but powerful radio station that helps heal and transform our community through music and information.

The WRES offices are located at 91 Patton Avenue, right in the heart of downtown, and our FM signal is broadcast from the top of the Vanderbilt apartments. The official area that WRES reaches is within Asheville City Limits, but we have had reports of reception as far as Weaverville to the north, Hendersonville to the south, Canton to the west and Black Mountain to the east.
